The Harvest Moon is the September Full Moon that light up the fields and help the farmer to finish their harvests. The Harvest Moon is rising only 30 minutes later than the eve and 30 minutes before the next day. So, It's like the Full Moon was rising almost at the same time for a few days!
This late Harvest Moon - late because in 2004, the Full Moon occured on September 28 - is rising in a partially cloudy sky. Some weird nebulosities mask partly the lunar disk, giving to the picture an atmosphere like that in Werewolf's films. |
