When droplets in clouds are quite the same, one can see some iridescences at the border of the cloud formations, especially near the Sun.
This iridescence phenomenon was clearly visible on Frebruary 26, 2004. During one small hour, some cloud with appropriated characteristics have come to play with the Sun and then displayed nice colorful hues, mainly pink and green.
In this sequence taken between 14:51:04 and 14:52:11, one can see the evolution of iridescences as the cloud shifts. The Sun is located behind the cypress. |
