I record this rainbow in blue sky background on an afternoon. We can see the Alexander Dark Band, a darker area between above the primary and under the secondary rainbow. This relative darkening is in fact an increase of brightness above and under this band, brightness which have for origin the reflection of sunrays inseide the droplet. |
