Here is a vivid example of an Iridium flash. This one, Iridium 7, has crossed a short part of the Quimper sky on January 14, 2004, and has reach magnitude -7 (15 times the brightness of Venus).
Behind the tree, about 30 m, a street-lamp illuminate the branches with its orange tint.
Coming from the zenith, the Iridium 7 flash cross vertically the constellaiton of Cetus. |
