Till now, I was just able to realize some panoramas from the horizon to the zenith because the head on my tripod only have 120° front tilt. A few days ago, I found an old head adaptable on my tripod which have more than 180° front tilt. It's time to try...
I go quickly on the Kermor beach which have a nice view from an horizon to the other. The light pollution is there, but it give an orange touch I like. Sirius has just risen and reflects itself in the sea. Higher, our eyes cross Orion, the Taurus and the Pleiads. Near the zenith, a meteor scratches the sky near the round patch of Comet Holmes in the heart of Perseus. It's time to go down to the other horizon: the double Perseus Cluster, Great Andromeda Galaxy, North America (hard to spot in the light pollution) an finally the Lyra near the horizon. |
