This composite highlight the changes on the Moon's diameter from August 2005 to February 2006, with respectively 33'41" and 29'82", depending if the Full Moon is close to the perigee or apogee. So, there is better moments to observe the Moon.
This is why we observe sometime a total or annular Sun eclipse.

Thanks to Martin Bernier who allow me to use his picture of February Full Moon I missed because of bad weather.
