The best time to see the zodiacal light in the morning is on September. The day after the New Moon, I go to the Monts d'Arrée to try to catch it. But it's hard, because some thin clouds soften the contrast. However, the zodiacal light is rather well visible in the following animation, and in this panorama picture:
