The 22 degrees halo is often more bright at its summit. This is where the upper tangeant arc is located, see the upper Parry arc.
In this picture taken around midday by a nice day of last June, the colors of the halo are well visibles, from red (the inner part of the halo) to blue (the outer part).
The bell tower masking the Sun is this of St Mathieu Church, near the Chapeau Rouge plaza. |
