In Quimper, a rainbow toward West lead quite surely to rain in the following seconds or minutes, because the region is quite alway under West winds.
That morning, seeing the dark clouds coming from West and the clear East horizon, I was waiting for a rainbow. I did not had to wait for a long time... With my digital camera, I went out to quickly took pictures under the rain which started to fall.
This closeup of the rainbow (see the following picture) allow to see the supernumerary arcs sticked under the primary rainbow. |
