The Moon is not yet totally plunged in the Earth's shadow. The lunar surface is white in the upper right part, then bluish, greenish, orange and finally deep red on the lower left. Those colors witness the stronger scattered of short wavelengths (blue and green) by the Earth's atmosphere than long ones (red). |
